My unique background allows me to create nutritional plans to best meet the needs of the whole athlete. I am a Colorado native who loves the outdoors and everything food! Growing up I was able to see the power that food has on the body. I knew I wanted to combine my passion for food and science with my desire to help others. I found that I could blend these together through Dietetics and Athletic Training.

Why Pick a Registered Dietitian?
A Registered Dietitian is a healthcare professional who can diagnose and provide dietary treatment for many diseases including food allergies, kidney disease, diabetes, cancer, etc. They are trained to translate nutritional science into everyday information to educate the general public. All dietitians are required to complete a bachelors degree through an ACEND-accredited program and complete a 1200 hour supervised internship. After formal schooling is completed, they must pass a national certification exam.
A Sports Dietitian specializes in nutrition counseling and education to enhance the performance of athletes. They can provide personalized meal plans, address medication nutrition therapy (including bone mineral disturbances, iron depletion, etc.) and evaluate nutritional supplements for legality, safety, quality and efficacy.
A nutritionist is a non-accredited title that an individual may give themselves or someone who has completed a short course in nutrition. Nutritionists do not have any professional practical training and therefore should not be involved in diagnosing and dietary treatment of diseases.
